Our guest speaker will be local brewer Matt Hartenstein from Taplands. Learn about home brewing and try lots of new and classic games. Plus, assembler and wonder host Jon Selover will bring his home brew along for a tasting - plus root beer, too!
Doors open at 10:30am for coffee and snacks, and at 11:00am on the dot we will have great talks, live music and secular celebration. Stick around afterward for food.
We will be collecting coats. Please bring any new or gently-used warm jackets or coats.
As well as this fascinating talk, we will hear real life stories from the community, sing some awesome songs with our live band, and share great coffee and cookies. Babysitters provide supervised activities for the kids.
We will be setting up a mimosa station in the assembly with complimentary mimosas for moms and donations/tips requested from everyone else with all funds going directly to Sunday Assembly SV after expenses are covered. Please bring cash and tip generously. (Non-alcoholic drinks will also be available at the mimosa station.)
Our guest speakers are Tyler Pew and Kate Ganim from KidMob. a mobile, kid-integrated design firm that holds workshops where kids build customized solutions to meet local needs. One of their more recent endeavors is Superhero Cyborgs, a workshop where kids—both with and without disabilities—design and build wearable devices that can serve as what KIDmob calls “a potential alternative to their upper limb prosthetics.”
